Hi!

I’m Dee! I am an artist living and practicing in Portland, Or.

I don’t have a formal background in art, save for a few community college classes, and many a creative classes that are available all around the city like the beloved Ulna.

But I’ve always loved creating and using it as a way to express how I see things.

I grew up in New Jersey as an undiagnosed autist that felt wildly alone and afraid at most times.  Creating brought me joy and relief from a world that I did not understand.

Now I see how my art reflects my true heart.  Vivid and overly saturated, the type that makes your eyes kinda hurt. A surreal dreamscape of nature charged with emotion. It echoes a reminder that we are part of it all and to continue the practice of awe and creation.

My practice is multi media, primarily focused on exploring my creative ideas and impulses in sketchbooks.  When I feel ready I transition to painting with acryla gouache on cold press paper, but also includes painting on any surface such as papier mache, wood panels, stretched canvas.

Thanks for visiting and looking at the stuff!
